Lesley Nneka Arimah was born in Great Britain, but describes himself as “Nigerian…ish”. She grew up where her father worked: sometimes in Nigeria, sometimes somewhere else. Her debut What it Means When a Man Falls from the Sky is a collection of short stories in which she imagines how the future will be, through the use of dystopias and fantasies. For example, she sketches a world in which western populations are the refugees. Sometimes surreal and sometimes closer to reality, Arimah shows her fascination for post-apocalyptic worlds.
Lesley Nneka Arimah shares the stage with Annelies Verbeke and Masande Ntshanga. They will be interviewed by Roos van Rijswijk.
