Gabriel Royal

Hailed as “Brooklyn’s busking sensation”, Gabriel Royal played his cello regularly in the tiled hallways of the New York subway for five years before being finally ‘discovered’. Since then, the musician, song writer and arts educator has released his self-titled debut album. Shunning the trend for fast-food-style instant gratification, Royal’s music builds slowly, his cello and voice connecting like intertwined lovers, until you’re totally hooked. It’s soulful, easy listening chamber music, influenced by artists such as John Legend, James Blake and Flying Lotus.
